Athletics meet.

30th May 2016
Last Friday 34 of us went to Witchford College to participate in the annual East Cambs Youth Games. The day had an Olympic theme and Weatheralls represented Hungary. Years 3 & 4 had great fun taking part in Tri-Golf and tennis. Years 5 & 6 took part in lots of athletics skills activities including the shot put, javelin, relay and speed bounce and then in competitions for the 75m sprint, long jump, howler throwing and 600m. We were part of Weatheralls B team and we won all of our races in the 75m sprint and 600m long distance. There were great performances from Sam Peberdy who threw the howler a record-breaking 35.16m and Callum Gilbey who was the fastest long-distance runner with a time of 1m 45s with Ethan Leonard a close second at 1m 54s. All of us really enjoyed the day representing Weatheralls.
