Play Leaders

Our young leaders consist of 24 children from years 5 who support the lunchtime staff by organising and running lunchtime games.

Possible leaders are required to fill out an application form stating their reasons for applying and outlining their main skills that they can bring to the role.

Once selected, the group of children are trained through the Witchford Sports Partnership, equipping them with the knowledge and skills that they require to be successful leaders. The playground leaders are taught how to break down activities and games, alter them for different groups and understand how to make them fun, fair and safe for all of the children playing.
