The Weatheralls Primary School

School Council

The School Council is made up of children from across the year groups and a lead teacher. There is a chairperson, a treasurer and a secretary as well as two elected representatives from each class.  The aim of the School Council is to demonstrate the British democratic process in action, give elected representatives a role in the decision making within the school and promote our school values through actions, decision making and representing the student voice. The School Council are consulted on all important school decisions, conduct class discussions, vote on issues important to them and have even interviewed candidates for School Leadership positions.

The School Council meet once a fortnight to discuss issues raised in their class council meetings and have worked hard with this responsibility and many of their ideas have been implemented in school.
